What equipment does a longevity centre need?
A practical checklist for founders and operators in the UAE: the therapy equipment, the supporting spaces and the building services to plan before you order anything.
Request a ProposalCore therapy equipment
- Hyperbaric oxygen chamber: single or twin occupancy, with its own room, power and access plan
- Cryotherapy system: whole-body or localised, electric or nitrogen-based
- Red light therapy: a full-body bed, panels or a pod
- PEMF: a full-body mat or bed, plus localised applicators
- Multi-modality chamber: the Ammortal Chamber, combining light, PEMF, sound and guided sessions in one unit
Contrast and recovery
- Infrared or hybrid sauna for heat
- Cold plunge with a chiller and filtration, for cold
- Recovery lounge for time between sessions
Supporting spaces
- Reception and waiting area
- Consultation or assessment rooms
- Changing rooms and showers
- Plant and storage for chillers, compressors and supplies
Building services to plan early
- Electrical capacity for all machines running together
- Ventilation and cooling for rooms with several heat sources
- Drainage and water for the plunge and wet areas
- Floor loading and access routes for delivering large equipment
- Acoustics and lighting for treatment rooms and the lounge
Questions to settle before ordering
- What is the treatment menu, and how many clients per day are you planning for?
- Is the centre a licensed healthcare facility or a wellness business? See our licensing pointers.
- What is the available floor plate, and what are its power and ventilation limits?
- Who will operate each system, and what training do they need?
- Will you open with a few systems and add others later?
We turn the answers into a layout, a specification and a requirements schedule. See the longevity centre overview or commercial fit-out for how a project runs.
Questions
Frequently asked
What is the minimum equipment to open a longevity centre?
There is no single standard. Many centres open with one or two core systems and a recovery area, then add equipment as demand grows. We plan the room so later additions fit.
Should I buy everything from one supplier?
It reduces interface problems, because one team owns the layout, the site requirements and the commissioning order. Equipment can also be supplied alone to a space you are already building.
How early should I involve an equipment supplier?
Before the fit-out design is finalised. Power, ventilation, floor loading and access are far cheaper to plan in than to retrofit.
