Saunas engineered for the UAE
A sauna in Dubai works harder than one in Helsinki. High ambient humidity, air-conditioned surroundings and hard water all affect how the room performs and ages. Sauna Dekor UAE designs every sauna to its own thermal profile, and builds it in Sauna Dekor's Istanbul facility using FSC-certified hemlock, Nordic spruce or abachi, with EOS heaters from Germany and Sentio-Tec controls.
Sauna types
- Finnish sauna: the traditional high-temperature dry sauna, with the option of löyly (water on the stones)
- Infrared sauna: lower air temperature, suited to apartments and daily use
- Bio sauna: gentler heat with higher humidity, often with aromatherapy and colour light
- Salt sauna: Himalayan salt walls for a distinctive look and atmosphere
- Russian banya: hotter, wetter and built for the full banya ritual
Steam rooms built to last 20 years
The visible finish is the easy part of a steam room. What decides whether it lasts is underneath: the waterproof substrate, the drainage falls, the ceiling slope that stops condensation dripping, and the steam generator's capacity. We build on a Wedi waterproof substrate with Condair steam generators from Switzerland, finished in mosaic or stone, and specify each room to perform for 20 years.
For villas, developments and hotels
We supply single saunas for private villas, repeat sauna and steam packages for multi-villa developments, and full spa suites for hotels and branded residences. Recent UAE work includes spa suites in Emirates Hills, Dubai Hills and Al Barari, and a spa and wellness installation for the Republic of Türkiye Embassy in Abu Dhabi. Questions
Frequently asked
Which type of sauna is right for a Dubai villa?
Most villa owners choose a traditional Finnish sauna, an infrared sauna, or a combination. Salt saunas and bio saunas (lower temperature, higher humidity) are also popular. The right choice depends on how you want to use it, the space and the power supply.
Can a sauna be installed indoors in an apartment or villa?
Yes, subject to space, electrical capacity and ventilation. We check the drawings or visit the site, then specify the heater, controls and ventilation to suit.
What is the difference between a sauna and a steam room?
A sauna is dry heat (typically 70 to 100°C in a Finnish sauna) in a timber room. A steam room is lower temperature with near 100% humidity, built in a waterproofed tiled or stone room with a steam generator.
Which timbers do you use?
FSC-certified hemlock, Nordic spruce and abachi, chosen for stability, low resin and comfort at high temperatures.
What warranty do you offer?
All sauna and steam room installations carry a 24-month warranty.
